Description

In the Art Of Makeup FX: Level 2 class, instructor Dallas Harvey teaches students processes and techniques to professionally sculpt, mold, prepare, and apply Pros-Aide Bondo based prosthetics, widely used in film and television due to their convenience in application and highly realistic look, even in HD! Students will also gain product and material knowledge including different types of clays, silicones, and Prosthetic Transfer Material (PTM), professional procedures, safety, and the best appliances and techniques particular to specific make-up prosthetic applications.

In this class, students will have the opportunity to design and create a character makeup of their choice using their newly created 3D transfer prosthetics in the course final project. Students may create wardrobe pieces, props, and other character embellishments to add to their final design outside of class. On the final day of class, students will invite a live model to sit for their final character makeup application, integrating the techniques and skills honed in this class.

This class is largely based with hands-on learning and also includes live demonstrations and lectures by the instructor. All products, materials, and tools needed for this class are included in the tuition fee. It is encouraged to bring a notepad to take notes and a camera to document your progress as you learn. Students will be responsible for providing themselves a model and all body safe industry standard make-up, adhesives, airbrushing or body-painting supplies, wardrobe, wigs, nails, and other accessories to apply their final make-up design on the final day of the course. Airbrushes and compressors will be provided for student use during the final make-up application. After final make-up application completion, students will have the opportunity for their model to be photographed in a professional photo shoot provided by the studio. Upon finishing the class, students will receive a certificate of completion signed by the instructor.
