In the Beginners – Life Casting class, instructor Dallas Harvey walks students through the process of life-casting a model, including professional techniques and skills needed to become a self-sufficient make-up artist with creating quality life-casts and snap molds. Students will delve into the detailed process of creating a full head and shoulders life cast on a live model from start-to-finish, leading into the process of cleaning, correcting, and preparing the positive cast. In this course, students will have the opportunity to make a life-cast of their own hand, in plaster, and learn also about casting in silicone. All materials, products, and tools needed during this course will be provided and is included in the course tuition fee.
NOTE: No previous life-casting experience is necessary prior to taking this course.
